Fire & Water - Cleanup & Restoration

Minor electrical fires happen all the time.

Electrical fires can spark at any moment. A power outlet always has power running to it, so long as the breaker is on. This means that it can catch fire even if nothing is plugged into it. However, something plugged in but turned off is much less likely to catch fire than if that item was on. Thankfully most places have sprinkler systems in place for just such a situation. In these photos, you see soot covering the floor of this utility closet with electrical towers. When we were called, the client stated we needed to dry out the walls and floor due to the sprinkler system going off. Upon further inspection, we discovered the soot in this room, and it is assumed that the reason the sprinklers went off is because of an electrical fire because of the electrical towers.  We used a floor scrubber to clean the soot from the tile while also extracting any water from the floor.
